Hello! My name is Spring (she/her), or Springtime Shine (in the case of the fur/ponysona seen in my badge and favicon), hence the site's url.
I dabble in a few different hobbies when I find the time, from 2D and 3D art, to writing, baking, and most recently this site!
I grew up in the halcyon days of the 2000s, so a lot of the trappings of the time have always had a place in my heart. That time-period was so varied that describing it as "the 2000s" doesn't mean much, but in my case I'm mostly referring to the technofuturist, pop, and pixel-inspired graphic designs of the time, the brief meeting of technologic capability and user freedom/customizability, and the wide, expressive subcultures that thrived on the internet, especially the anime, emo, and furry subcultures.
Although I've known about NeoCities for a while, my friend Forest first introduced me to the site proper, and after a bit of poking around I decided to make one of my own! Partially I'm sick and tired of everything having an algorithm, but I also figure this could be a good place to put some of my more random thoughts?
I especially love the idea of a small-scale platform geared more around chasing ideas than making something truly amazing. And ultimate, that's what I want this page to be, a fun little curiosity for anyone wandering the internet!
